Who is Jackie Christie?
American reality TV star, author and actress Jackie Christie, was born under the zodiac sign Leo on 25 July 1969, in Seattle, Washington State USA. She’s perhaps known best for being the wife of American former professional basketball player and coach Doug Christie, as well as for starring in the reality show “Basketball Wives LA”. Airing since 2011, today it also stars Draya Michele and Malaysia Pargo, and follows the lives of several women who are either in a relationship or married to popular basketball players.

Education and early life
Jackie was raised solely by her mother in Seattle, as her father was sent to jail before she was born; her mother died from cancer in 2012, and Jackie met her father for the first time in 2017, when he was released from prison. It remains unknown whether or not Jackie has any siblings as she hasn’t spoken about the matter, but most of her fans believe her to be an only child.
Jackie studied at Mark Morris School, and was passionate about multiple activities during her time there, as she enjoyed dancing, and singing; she also ran track and played volleyball, but her main focus was appearing in school plays. Jackie matriculated in 1987, and enrolled at Pepperdine College in 1989, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in 1992.

Jackie could then have been seen appearing in the 2013 short comedy “The Gay Christian Mingle”, and in 2015 the drama “Angry Insecure Men 2” and the romantic drama “Lucky Girl”. The year 2018 saw her star as Paulette in the short comedy “Going Black”, which also starred Kento Matsunami and Dorien Wilson, and was written and directed by Jamel Baines. It follows American entrepreneur Matthew, who wants to break up with his girlfriend and is thus searching for another; the film won two awards.
Also in 2018, Jackie played Kelly in the musical “Before You Say I Do Live!”, starring alongside Keith Burke and Regina Belle, while the film was written and directed by Paul D. Hannah; it follows a group of people as they’re searching for love.
Jackie’s appeared in only two other movies: the 2019 romantic comedy “Professor Mack” and the 2021 comedy “Junkyard”.
Roles in TV series
Jackie’s appeared in only a single TV series, playing Vanessa in the 2016 episode “One Night Only” of the comedy “In the Cut”, which starred Ken Lawson, Dorion Renaud and Dorien Wilson, and follows a famous barber who’s just met the son he never knew he had.

Jackie received special thanks for the 2000 short film “Bedtime Stories”, which starred Ellen Daschbach, Matt Daly and Annika Ahlstrom, and was written and directed by John Daschbach; it follows three couples who’ve become stuck in an elevator.
Jackie produced and directed the 2015 short film “Bossard Cognac: The Good Life”, which starred Harvey Walden IV, Christian Keyes and Mandell Frazier, and follows the making of Bossard Cognac. Jackie gave birth to their daughter Chantel Christie on 1 June 1993, and their son Douglas Christie Jr. followed on 1 March 2001; Jackie also has a daughter Ta’kari Lee with a former boyfriend, born in 1990 – she’s yet to share the name of Ta’kari’s father.
